The company currently operates other data centers in U.S. locations including Nebraska, South Dakota and Missouri. Meanwhile, construction on the latest facility is set to begin next month.

West stated that his company considered 21 additional markets before finally selecting Lenexa. Cited in the company’s press release was energy provider KCP&L which Cosentry described as “a critical asset for data centers.”
